I saw a great movie on Netflix last night, God’s Crooked Lines. A thriller set in an asylum. A great escape for a creative person marketing themselves, haha. Well, it was a good, well-written movie with great acting, but as they say, back to the story.
I am looking at alternatives to book marketing, it gets depressing really fast. I had a book marketer trying to contact me through Messenger, without even buying the book as a first step. Not sure if I wanted to be marketed by someone who can’t even sell me!
I am at a fun point in writing the sequel, but realities of marketing are invading the limited space in my mind. There is a tension between the fun, exploratory artist side of my mind and the cold, analytical part. They don’t necessarily like each other.
I let the analyze guy out for a limited time only, he is really kind of boring. He does pay the bills for the rather sensitive creative side.
The professional fragment of my mind sees the middle ground. Not middle, exactly. Only let analyze guy out for a short time and promise creative guy mostly free rein until the first draft is finished.
So, keeping the momentum going, you can see I needed to create another map to track the subplot within Mendacious. I have over twenty-five characters spread over several locations. On top of that, I must be concerned with these other idiots in my head. Like I said at the beginning, maybe an asylum could be entertainment.
Thanks for the encouragement
Excellent Keep up the good work
